September 8. It was cloudy in the morning, but it isn't cold. Wind, as well as forecasts promised, was racing - 6-8 m/s. By 11.00 profit last participants. Preparation for a regatta was complete and after fast opening of competitions all went on water. The distance – a loop was put. Races began. From first minutes it became clear that fight will be sharp. Catamarans came to signs dense group, nobody wanted to concede. The wind was gusty and changed the direction, and rounding of the top sign which stood under the coast, was the real test. To understand a wind and to come to a sign the first, was a difficult task, but it was more interesting to that to chase, though there was a lottery element. The distance was not long and bad start or any delay at statement of sails could cost much. I didn't keep itself waiting and the first revolution which happened to UKR 79 catamaran. After revolution, the mast of a catamaran rested against a bottom and got stuck in silt. To pull out it assistance then the crew independently restored a catamaran back was required and continued race. After five races the small break then competitions proceeded again was made. Carried out three more races and with feeling of pleasant fatigue participants returned on base where all were waited already by the laid table.
This time, the known Ukrainian traveler was invited to a regatta – Koroteyev Sergey with the team. They brought documentary films about the grandiose travel (Tierra del Fuego, Greenland and others). All wishing had opportunity to communicate to Sergey and his team and to receive comments to their travel firsthand. It should be noted that this summer they visited again Greenland, and, I hope, we will see new photos and video soon materials. Meanwhile, evening smoothly passed at night, but nobody was going to disperse, here, there guitar and song sounds ashore were audible.
